The Avatamsaka Sutra, also referred to as Flower Adornment Sutra, is one of the most influential scripture
in Chinese Buddhism history. It is the King of Kings of all Buddhist scriptures.
Its profundity and length speak for itself. This text contains a comprehensive explanation of the Buddha's
state and the Bodhisattva's quest for Awakening.
Avatamsaka Vihara will host
the Avatamsaka Sutra recitation to recite the complete 81 volumes from May 31 through June 7th of 2008 (7:00am - 9:00pm Monday to Saturday, Sunday starts at 1:00pm) .
